Who we are?

Local Dynamics of Development and Human Rights - DLDH asbl

Created in 2009, the Local Dynamics of Development and Rights Humans (DLDH) is a non-profit legal organization Congolese, registered and officially operating on authorization of the Provincial Governor as stipulated by the decree No. 19/019/CAB/GP-MMA/2019. For around fifteen years, the DLDH specializes in the implementation of projects community fight against poverty through support for improving the livelihoods of people in situations vulnerability as well as the promotion and protection of human rights in the province of Maniema in the Republic Democratic Republic of Congo. We are working to improve conditions of life of local populations by acting on the issues infrastructural, educational, health, agricultural, climatic, environmental, socio-economic, gender and social inclusion and democratic.

We are working for a resilient and inclusive Maniema, promoting the human rights, fighting against poverty and promoting sustainable development that protects the environment in favor of local communities and future generations.

Promotion and protection of human rights

Support local populations, particularly women and children in the promotion and defense of their rights fundamental for a more equitable and inclusive society.

Promotion of education

Support for the education of vulnerable children, adult literacy and promotion of the right to education for all.

Improving sustainable livelihoods and combating poverty poverty

Supporting vulnerable local populations in agro-pastoral activities, food and economic security and promotion of VSLAs and MUSOs to improve the conditions of life and stimulate local economic development.

Environmental protection and adaptation to change climatic

Support local populations in restoration and preservation of the biodiversity of degraded ecosystems  through reforestation actions, protection of areas wetlands and protected areas as well as through the adaptation of local populations to climate change.

Construction and rehabilitation of infrastructure community

Support for the construction and rehabilitation of infrastructure basic communities such as schools, bridges, markets, maternity wards, drinking water sources, agricultural service roads and health centers with a view to improving people’s access vulnerable to basic social services.
